With deep joy, confidence and gratitude, the community of the Trainer Candidate Community Path (TCCP) recommends that Camila Reyes be entrusted with the role of Certified Trainer for CNVC. Camila’s path through the certification process has been remarkable in her on-going commitment to bring peace and reconciliation to her beloved Columbia, her passion for shared power, and bringing voice to those whose voices are not fully heard.
We are celebrating many qualities that Camila brings to our global CNVC community. Camila has a vision of a world where the humanity of all is seen and celebrated. She has spent years pursuing that vision by following her heart as it led to NVC and learning everything she could from as many people as she could. Camila has a gift for walking toward conflict in ways that support mutual understanding and emergent actions that respond to the needs of all. She lives and applies NVC directly in service, including working with the “Truth, Memory and Reconciliation Commission of Columbia.” The combination of compassion, courage and clarity that we experience in Camila gives us trust that she is grounded in NVC consciousness and has capacity to be fluid in form depending on the situation.
Along with the celebration of what Camila brings, we also acknowledge the complexity of taking on roles/titles and the impacts roles can have on local communities. Camila chose not to pursue certification for years because she did not want it to separate her from those in her country. Now she’s choosing to step into the role of certified trainer so she can more fully serve. Her commitment to her role/title being a voice for more equity, reconciliation and healing is inspiring.
We have learned much on this journey with Camila and look forward to many years ahead of working side by side. It is an honor to introduce her to our global community where we’re confident she will find kindred souls and lifelong companions on the quest to create a world where every person matters and every person thrives.
