We’re writing to give you an update on the Trainer Candidate Community Path.

Online Retreat – February 2023

We’re excited to invite people interested in seeing what TCCP is like to a public online gathering on Feb.24-26th, 2023. The intention is to provide a feel of what TCCP’s retreats are like and to have chances for connection and learning with community members of Trainer Candidates, Certified Trainers, Assessors in Training, and Assessors along with other people interested in possibly pursuing certification with TCCP as the community assessor. We’ll use Open Space Technology to have a number of offerings and requests (or community sourced programming).

You can register for the online retreat open to people interested to learn about TCCP as an assessing community as part of your certification journey by completing this REGISTRATION FORM. We use a Google Jamboard to support our Open Space Market place and will send the link along with the zoom link when it gets closer. And we’ll support those needing technical support.

On the registration form you’ll see our request for economic sustainability.

APPLICATIONS

We have decided to start a rolling application process, meaning we will open up applications for the general TCCP community after the Feb 2023 retreat and continue with rolling applications from there based on availability. We want to prioritize connection with as many strategies as are doable so that entering into TCCP as the assessing community is relational and in a way that still has ease. Applications will continue to be on a rolling basis for the Black, Indigenous, People of Color Transformatory. If you are interested in this reach out to Roxy Manning or Mika Maniwa.

UPDATE on TCCP

What have we been doing all this time??
We have been prioritizing connection and “being known” for the trainer candidates we currently have and have learned that a completely all online process, which has not been the normal set up for TCCP, can take longer to establish welcoming and connection. We have prioritized connection for the community due to the pandemic limiting our in person gatherings and because it is a strong value in the community to have assessment be done in connection and community by engaging in and supporting relationship in community. We have not gathered in person since 2019! And this, we hope, will change in 2023. We are tentatively planning an in person gathering in Wisconsin, US in September of 2023. We had a sense that without the community connection it would impact new members and not meet needs for clarity and understanding of what TCCP is, so have moved our retreat open to people outside TCCP to online in Feb. **Attending the retreat online in Feb. does not mean you are all admitted into TCCP as a trainer candidate. It is a retreat so you can discern if this is where you want to have your assessment. Again, applications will be accepted AFTER the Feb 2023 retreat.

ALSO – BIG NEWS!

We have decided to go through the process of becoming a US based 501(c) 3 non-profit organization! We learned in the fall that our fiscal sponsorship would end Dec 31 2022 so we went through a proposal and community decision making to decide to put energy into this endeavor in hopes it will support the present, the future and the commitment to the TCCP community.

We realize and own that there may be impact by the amount of time you all have waited to get an update, to get an invitation to a public offering and to apply to TCCP and hope that we are meeting Needs that serve and mourn the needs not met!
